2004 News Letters
Back in 1994, my teacher Charles Haun once told me one of the greatest things we can do for God, by way of ministry, is to write down our success and failures, our experiences in Him, and what He has done for us. I did not understand Charles’ words of wisdom because at that time there was a call on my life to travel and teach the Word of God. But, now more then 11 years later Charles’ words ring loud in my heart and spirit. The disciples had a no denomination or doctrinal message, their message was what they personally saw and heard of Christ and the things they touched of God, it is no wonder their actions and words were convincing and powerful. John tells us, “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;” (1 John 1:1) If we desire to handle the things of life it must be from a personal knowledge of God and his ways, and my friend we get this knowing of God and His ways only through His dealings and judgments in our lives. In September 2002, while living in Germany, God changed my focus and direction in ministry. At that time I was pastoring a church as God sent me forth to teach the Gospel in other countries in Europe, Africa, and Asia. God told me to do two things; “put a name to your travels and write down your experiences.” I knew then what Charles was talking about.
On this page, in written form, is my obedience to God, by way of my monthly newsletter Beholding His Glory and the words of life I have experienced over these many years. How I cherish the opportunity to share my thoughts and experiences with others. Please take time and prayerfully read each newsletter and allow the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart and spirit. I have paid a great price for these words and will gladly pay even the more if need be. My words and intention is not to please or persuade you to change your mind on a certain topic, but to just share what God has asked me to do. Paul tells us, “For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.” (Galatians 1:10) My intention is to just be an obedient servant of Christ.
